Thank my lucky stars! Don’t even dare tell me this is a waste of space, nope, I won’t hear you. This is a beau-ti-fullllll palette. End of discussion. Fall 2013 brings out the earthy and plum tones again, and who am I kidding? Of course I would be drawn towards this earthy tones one. And yes, the stars embossed on the eyeshadows just give it that extra value. I know, I know, this totally got me.
That little pot next to the palette also comes from the same collection “Mystic Metallics” – Dior’s own bouncy creamy eyeshadow, this one in Cosmos. More on that another time. The star of the show right now is Bonne Etoile eyeshadow palette. =)
Aptly named Bonne Etoile, meaning ‘lucky star’, this palette encases 5 buttery smooth eyeshadows that well compliments each other whether you be wearing it day time or night time. Dark denim blue, olive green, cinnamon brown – yes, yes, yes! The versatility is vast. The beauty of it… I swoon.
Under slightly different light – natural sun day time (for photos above and below)
I find that the swatch photo does not do any justice to the intensity of the eyeshadows. I am utterly head over heels that I find myself caressing it rather than risking cracking its surface due to use. The finish of all shadows are surprisingly not chunks of glitter bombs, but more of a frosty glow. It’s the mystical properties of the metals, I dare say!
This is an absolute splurge, a luxury collectible.
