NEW Bobbi Brown in Surabaya, Indonesia

Few weeks ago, Bobbi Brown finally opened up a counter in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Just google it if you don’t know where that is. It’s where my childhood began.

Bobbi Brown has actually entered Indonesia but mostly, everything are in Jakarta, so the rest of the cities are just a little… uhm, behind.

Nonetheless, I’d just like to take this opportunity to share with you what it was like, since I managed to attend it. Yep, I was in Surabaya at that time. What a timing. Coincidence, much?

Mani Monday: Australis “Rose Tattoo”

Surprisingly smooth texture that glides evenly with no streakyness whatsoever. This was one coat with no top coat.

Australis has really made it to one of my favourite drugstore nail polishes with their range and price point, especially when Priceline has a sale. This shade is no exception. It does not streak and wears well. Even with no top coat, it is glossy and creamy looking!

Disclaimer: Product was provided for review consideration as per disclosure. Try it for yourself, their nail polishes are really that good.

Aveeno Skin Relief & Daily Moisturising Body Wash

I find these two very identical. One is fragranced, the other is fragrance free, that’s about it. However, boy do I love these as body wash, especially at night time when I want that feeling of relaxing, calming and soothing. Fyi, my body can turn to red blotches quite easily. That may be caused by humidity, heat change, weather change, water thickness and/or reactions to products. Most commonly, it is due to reaction to products. I am happy to say that none of these give me any redness, in fact it soothes my redness or any itchiness that may be present.

Introducing Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder and Gisele Bundchen

I thought I’d share with you what I just came across. Gisele Bundchen as the face of Chanel’s new powder range called Les Beiges. It is a natural-toned sheer powder that is meant to give you that natural glow. Lit by the sun. Yeah, don’t we all want that glow. Gisele just looks so natural in here, in the way she carries herself. I just had to share this video. Asap.

I’m not familiar as to when it will hit the Australian shores. I know that beautezine in Canada already has a post up HERE.

Will this be a winner or a flop? On a side note, I may or may not like that inverted shade of the packaging. A nude case with black logo. Say, chic.

Face of Australia Lip Quench Moisturising Lipstick SPF 30+ NEW Shades - Mocha Latte and Peaches & Cream

Boy, was that not a mouthful. I have not even included “with shea butter and jojoba oil and vitamin E'” part.

As most of you in Australia would be familiar with, or those who aren’t, Face of Australia is definitely an Australian brand that has honestly been climbing up the mountain in the past couple or so years. They have improved, so so so much. Not just a little frog hop, but a kangaroo leap in terms of their qualities and products range.

Already they have 12 shades in this lipstick range. Now they are releasing 2 new shades – aptly named Mocha Latte and Peaches & Cream. Although, I must admit, I keep having to retype Peaches & Cream because I want to call it Strawberries & Cream instead. The shade reminds me of Strawberries & Cream rather than Peaches, y’know. So, Strawberries, I mean Peaches & Cream. You’ll see what I mean in a sec.

Mani Monday: The Perfect Nude with Inglot 055

I visited the Inglot store the other day to check out their ‘selected items for 50%’ sale they have going on. After having a little lookie-lookie… I spotted this and wah-lah! I took it home with me. If you’re wondering, I was looking for a nude shade to wear for any occasion, just haven’t had any luck. So this was just meant to be.

These applies surprisingly smooth. One coat will give you a medium opacity with a hint of your nail peeking through, yet still clean. I did do a second coat though, just to give it a more opaque cream finish. I’m sure you could get away with just one coat if you want a really nude look but sophisticated nails.

Inglot is made in Poland.
RIP Mr Inglot

The finish is glossy but I made it even glossier with Manicare NEW Beginning to End 3-in-1

This salon strength nail treatment boasts a base coat, top cat and a nail strengthener, which protects the nail up to 10 days. So far it has been almost a week and I see no chipping, and the loss is still apparent. I have surprised myself by quite enjoying using this 3-in-1 product. I usually tend to stay away from 3-in-1 or 2-in-1 nail product, just because they do not seem to perform up to scratch as to what they claim to do. However, this has proved me wrong. Definitely a keeper, especially when you don’t want to be fussed with 2 or 3 different base products just to do your nails at home.

What I like about it is that the base coat does prevent my nails from staining (those yucky yellow nails! I ain’t looking for a Shrek look yo!) and prevent my nails from chipping. As a top coat it dries quickly and gives the overall look a high gloss shine. You can even reapply this over the nails every 2-3 days for even better protection.

Product is made in France.

I am not affiliated with the brands mentioned. All opinions are my own. Inglot was purchased with my own funds for personal use and reviewing purposes. Manicare was provided for review purpose, which in no way affected my opinions on it. If it’s good, it’s good.

Uriage Eau Thermale D’Uriage Thermal Water Review

For All Skin Types
Even the Most Sensitive
For Babies – Children – Adults

This is an everyday skin care water for everybody, seriously. You just spritz it on anywhere and let it act. Done. It gives you that “Oh! So Fresh!” kinda feeling. I have always enjoyed face spritz, in the names of MAC Charged Water, Fix+, Avene, Mario Badescu Rosewater and Aloe and I cannot get enough of it. My favourite for setting or diffusing my makeup goes to Fix+ however this really comes high up there in terms of favouritism.
What is it?
The Uriage story goes way back during the ancient Rome civilisation. During their invasion of Gaul, they were crossing the French Alps and came across a spring at the foot of the Belledone massif. As they bathed in the spring, they noticed that they recovered from their wounds at a much faster rate. What was it?! It was the water.

In the world of dermatology, the Uriage Thermal Centre has since been recognised in 1877. The UTC, located in France, now caters for skin associated problems such as eczema, psoriasis in both adults and children.

Something really pulls me towards loving this way more than the Avene water. The Avene water somehow just feels like… well, water. This however has trace elements and minerals which seems to really get absorbed right into the skin. Avene just seems to sit there and dries out, let’s talk about that in another review, shall we.

This spray actually does moisturise and is very soothing. It is cooling and very refreshing, especially in hot Australian sun! I like how nourishing it feels and soft on the skin. It is gentle that it can be used on babies’ bottoms too!

The spritz disperse in a mist wonderfully, not in bursts or sprinkles.

I cannot get enough of spraying this all over my face. At 50ml it is travel friendly.

Another thing I like about it – it does not mess up my makeup. So even if you have makeup on, have this ready in your office or in your handbag. My skin is thankful for it. You cannot reapply moisturiser during the day or reapply makeup, just spritz this and I feel refreshed!

It is now available at selected Terry White chemists. For those in Queensland, here is the stockist list.

So there we have it. If you’re looking for a nifty travel buddy that makes you feel refreshed and hydrated anytime any day and for every body, especially for those with kids, perhaps you could give this little bottle a try.

Will I repurchase? Yes :)

Simplicite Plant Gel Cleanser

I’ll tell you now. This is my HG (Holy Grail) cleanser. The kind of cleanser my face can’t live without. This is it.
