Hungarian Beef Goulash



There is a hearty and tasty stew called Hungarian Beef Goulash that is made with tender beef, onions, garlic, and paprika. This traditional Hungarian dish is great for cold weather and shows off the country's rich flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cubed
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

Put olive oil in a big pot and heat it over medium-low heat

Add the garlic and onions and cook until they get soft

Put in the beef cubes and brown them all over

Add the tomato paste, paprika, and caraway seeds and mix them in

Add bay leaves and beef broth

Add pepper and salt

Bring it to a simmer, then turn down the heat and cover it

Stir the sauce every so often for two hours, or until the beef is soft and the sauce has thickened
