MAC A Tartan Tale & FOTD

MAC A Tartan Tale - inspired by the Scottish kilts and colours, MAC has created a gianormous collection this holiday 2010 as some parts of the world is heading towards winter and some parts going to summer, like I am here in Australia. Another thing, this is officially my first MAC Holiday purchase :)

If I had a bank safe like Ebenezer Scrooge, I'd pick up more things and more, but because I don't... and I do try to justify my purchase in whether I would use them, I went home with 1 pack. However, this is only Chapter 1. Chapter 2 of the collection will be out in Australia in 2 weeks - this will include the mini sets, mini pigments, mini lipglosses, mini nail polishes. Wait, did I just say mini nail polishes!? Now that's going in my wishlist, fo'sure! I
(heart) nail polishes...

So let me just share a little snapshots I managed to take of this collection at my local MAC store. This one was taken at David Jones, Queens Plaza, Brisbane City using my 3G iphone hahaha... me being sneaky, y'know...

The pearlglider eyeliners, eyeshadows with the prints, lipglosses, nail polishes, pigments, and the 2 vibrant blushes

The brushes sets with uber cute brush bags
But honestly, I'd give these a miss unless you really want the bag and the convenience of the mini brushes. The quality of these compared to the regular line is so different. Look at the 187, I can't understand why they would do such thing to the 187, it looks nothing like the regular 187. Anyway, enough of my rant...

Here's a look of the sets...:
- 2 Face Kits
- 2 Lip Packs + Zip Up Bag
- 2 Eye Packs + Zip Up Bag
- 2 Lip Palettes
- 4 Eyeshadow Palettes

Aren't they cute! But I wish they have prints or decorations on the actual individual blushes or the lipsticks... it'd make them even more... memorable and distinguishable, I'd reckon. Just my opinion, y'know...

So here's what I came home with...
One side...
The other side...

And out came...
It opens...
Description on the back of the box
Out came...
Ta Da!!
Some close ups... testing out my new camera =)
The Lipstick - Mellow Mood
The Lipgloss - Baby Sparks

Officially my first MAC lipliner - In Synch

I have not tried them as yet, but colour-wise, they are lovely pinks that I'd wear anytime of the day and night. I can just bring these anywhere and put them on without a doubt... No brainer sort of colours, y'know?

Well, and since I haven't done one in oh so long... I'd share a little FOTD - Face of the Day... I had this look for my Drivers Licence Renewal. How time flies, it has been 5 years and now this new licence will stay with me for the next 5... Good gracious!

What I had on:
  • Gorgeous Cosmetics Madam Lash Eyelashes in "Miss Naughty"
  • Eyeliners:
Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in Onyx & Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner in Noir Intense
  • Lips - bare - just a clear Smashbox lipgloss
  • Face - Hourglass Primer & Foundation Shades 2 & 1.5 mixed 50-50
Hope you're having a lovely day~ Have a little blush and don't let anyone put you down.

PS: I'm loving the scent of Versace Woman Eau De Parfum, what scent are you liking these days?
