EFOTD & mini reviews

Alright, let's get straight to it, 'cause I have a feeling this will be a long one... since I want to do a eye/face of the day and mini reviews on some of the products I just recently obtained and loving it right now!
Firstly, here's a really really simple look I did today. I just felt like it... and also because I love love loveeee the colour. I don't think the photo picks up the brightness of the colour in real life, but anyway, you get the idea...

The eyes (indoor day light; no flash)...

The face (lol... indoor day light; no flash)...

(Look at those eyelashes!! Thanks to CoverGirl Lash Blast Waterproof in Very Black!!)

The face (outdoor; under the sunlight)...

Products used...

Namely,
FACE
* The usual: Gorgeous Cosmetics Foundation Primer & Sheer Brilliance Liquid Foundation - this time I used my new stippling brush
* Blush: MAC Conjure Up - this time I used my new blush/cheek brush from Sportsgirl
* Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette 07 (used the dark green, lightest cream, and the powder)
* Top it off with: Chanel Perfecting Pressed Powder (02 Plein Jour)

EYES
* Base: MAC Paintpot in Bare Study
* Line the upper lashline & inner corner with Sportsgirl Shady Lady Eye Colour in Poison Ivy
* Curl eyelashes with Shiseido eyelash curler
* Coated my lashes with CoverGirl Lash Blast Waterproof in Very Black - omg I had a break from this for about a feww weeeks and wow, I can really tell the difference!! And no, I didn't use a mascara base... Imagine what it would be like with a mascara base.. ohohoho!)

Okay, so to continue... I'll be mentioning my new favourite eyeshadow: (of course I still love my Stila eyeshadows such as Golightly, Kitten, Wheat, ... but this one deserves a mentioning ;)... )

Sportsgirl Shady Lady Eye Colour in Poison Ivy

With base/primer:...

From left: On its own without a base, With MAC Bare Study as base, With Elizabeth Arden Eye-Fix Primer as base

I find that this eyeshadow is very pigmented, soft, easy to apply, easy to pick up with any brush (I used the ecotools eye angled brush), glides on smoothly, bottom line is I really like it! What a pleasant surprise! I'm really loving putting colour on my inner corner line... it could as well be my eye look signature!! =D

Have you tried the Sportsgirl cosmetics range? What do you think of it?
Or, have you tried CoverGirl Lash Blast?

Till next time! ~loves,
dana

Hi Geli!
I think it depends on what kind of mascara you're after. The waterproof one works for me for the dramatic volume and some length and holding my curl all day and night long.
Did you try the waterproof or the normal formula? I heard they're different, and the one that works for me is the waterproof formula.
Hope that helps~

Is your 10% off coupon only on CoverGirl? lol...

Should I do a before and after photo using the CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof? Maybe I should.. to show you what I mean. =D
