Review | Lush “Rose Jam” Shower Gel–Why is it LE!

Yes, Lush, that’s my MAJOR question – Why is this shower gel a limited edition!? Why!? *sad face*

Sweet scented, invigorating, creamy lusciousness… and the luxurious feel of rose petals bath without the mess.

I received this in a bag full of bath bombs and almost not going to use it because of the word ‘rose’ and ‘sweet’. *cringe* I’m not a big fan of ‘sickeningly sweet, rose-scented’ bath products. However, one day I decided to give it a try. One little drop… at a time.

Then it hit me. The aroma… just… ooh la la!

I reread the label. “With lemon to bring clarity and rose to lift the spirits” – it has lemons! That’s why! *starry eyes*

I am suggesting to myself that perhaps if it were just plain rose scent I would have not liked it as much. I love this because it is a lemon x rose mix scent. I actually have another shower bath gel with lemon and rose mix and I also adore that, thankfully that other one is a permanent line of another company – more on that another time. Back to ‘Rose Jam’.

I love that the name actually does signifies the scent – it is almost as though you are slathering delicious jam. Lush makes me think of food, can you blame me?

Now one thing I am unhappy about is… that it is a Limited Edition item! I can’t find it in store – NOooo!! There goes again… one of my ultimate favourite Lush scent was this soap called Vanilla in the Mist, but they discontinued it years ago. Then this Rose Jam shower gel… and it was a Limited Edition. Count my lucky stars that happens with the Lush products I love… =(

I just love this shower gel. It makes me happy in the shower, among other shower gel and my ultimate coconut soap that make me happy too. I’m one of those who get into a thinking mode in the shower and my own little ‘me’ time, adoring the shower products I can use.

“For a fruity, zesty lather with a floral fragrance. With turkish rose absolute, geranium oil and a hint of lemon, this delicious bouquet will keep you smelling of roses.”

Now talking about smelling of roses – actually, this does. I can smell a faint refreshing fragrance on myself and I like it. It’s almost as though I do not need the additional perfume because this lingers on my skin, providing just the perfect amount of fragrance I need.

Dear Lush, if you ever decided to bring this back, please bring it back permanently.
Yours truly, Dana of Blushfully.
