Mani Monday: The Perfect Nude with Inglot 055

I visited the Inglot store the other day to check out their ‘selected items for 50%’ sale they have going on. After having a little lookie-lookie… I spotted this and wah-lah! I took it home with me. If you’re wondering, I was looking for a nude shade to wear for any occasion, just haven’t had any luck. So this was just meant to be.

These applies surprisingly smooth. One coat will give you a medium opacity with a hint of your nail peeking through, yet still clean. I did do a second coat though, just to give it a more opaque cream finish. I’m sure you could get away with just one coat if you want a really nude look but sophisticated nails.

The finish is glossy but I made it even glossier with Manicare NEW Beginning to End 3-in-1

This salon strength nail treatment boasts a base coat, top cat and a nail strengthener, which protects the nail up to 10 days. So far it has been almost a week and I see no chipping, and the loss is still apparent. I have surprised myself by quite enjoying using this 3-in-1 product. I usually tend to stay away from 3-in-1 or 2-in-1 nail product, just because they do not seem to perform up to scratch as to what they claim to do. However, this has proved me wrong. Definitely a keeper, especially when you don’t want to be fussed with 2 or 3 different base products just to do your nails at home.

What I like about it is that the base coat does prevent my nails from staining (those yucky yellow nails! I ain’t looking for a Shrek look yo!) and prevent my nails from chipping. As a top coat it dries quickly and gives the overall look a high gloss shine. You can even reapply this over the nails every 2-3 days for even better protection.
