When Insomnia Found Me A New Tag To Do

So I've been twisting and turning in bed for the past... uhm I dunno, few hours... and I'm still awake. Gosh... anyway, I came across a tag and thought why not quickly do one now, right? Well, while I'm awake and kicking... wishing I be sleeping instead 'cause I know I will have a long day ahead of me...

Here's a tag ... a little something about me I suppose... I'm not even sure what the tag is called.

The Questions

1. Do you go to school? If yes...what is your favourite subject/ what is your major?
Yes I go to school - I'm attending The University of Queensland. My favorite subjects would be the subjects I am not currently studying, which would have to be something like languages or the film review subject that I did. Or beauty related cosmetics ingredients study or something haha... My major... well I'm in Science. So I guess that relates in a bit... somewhat... Though I do enjoy some aspects of it, there are several other aspects of it that I just wish would write themselves out of my life... hahaha

2. Do you work? If yes...what is your job?
Yes I do work part time/casually and I work as a sales assistant at a department store called David Jones... just while I'm still studying... being an 'always broke' student that I am... and if you're wondering whether this will be a permanent sort of job for me? I would have to say no, thank you. For now, it's good.

3. Do you read? If yes...name a few of your favourite books and/or magazines.
Yes. A couple of my favorites would have to be A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hossein, Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn... I used to read classic novels too (such as Charles Dickens) but not really now... Magazines... yes I do like magazines. Vogue, Marie Claire, InStyle, Harper's Bazaar are to name some of my favorites... Currently reading Water for Elephants...

4. Can you cook?
Yes

5. Do you have any siblings?
Yes. Two younger sisters.

6. Do you speak any other languages?
Yes I speak Indonesian, Javanese and I can understand Malay. I speak a mixture of Indonesian, Javanese and German at home. I do have basic knowledge of Japanese and Korean, though sadly I don't practice them as much so there are a lot that I've forgotten. The first language that I learnt to speak was actually German - but again, unfortunately I'm not fluent in it because it is not practiced or spoken as much, only few words remain intact in my memory. I'd love to learn more languages and better my Japanese and Korean. I've picked up several phrases from Thai songs... and Hindi would be nice to learn too... French would be cool but I know I will definitely have trouble pronouncing every single thing! Mandarin would be useful but again I will have trouble with correct pronounciation. Hah!

7. If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Greece. The first thing that came to my head right as of this moment... although there are so many other places I would love to go such as Maldives, Germany, Guilin (China), Italy, US, Japan, India... etc... I'd love to check out more of Indonesia too... Why? Because I like to see the world and the world's beauty doesn't end here.

8. What is your idea of the perfect date?
Snuggling up, sipping hot chocolate, walks in the city or parks at night under the lights or at a lit up bridge...

9. What is your dream career?
It has changed over the years... right now I wouldn't mind being a reviewer, social media person, go travel, mtv vj, songwriter, poet, artist... fashion designer... yeah... I'm like that. On the side, investments rolling.

10. Are you athletic...do you play sports/work out..or are you a couch bunny?
I've been swimming since I was very small, very young that my swimming training started when I was 3 years old. However I've stopped swimming competitively for few years now and walking and occasional jogs are my main mode of exercises now. Maybe recreational badminton, just having a couple of hours of play with a bunch of friends... I've also done some horse riding but haven't really done much of it when I moved to Australia, only done it back in Indonesia. I'm not overly athletic nor am I a couch bunny, though I do get my lazy days.

11. What are your three favorite things (that have nothing to do with makeup/beauty)?
chilling, writing, and listening to music - haha as you can probably tell by now I'm really in that chilled out holiday mode which I really shouldn't be!

12. What is the BEST thing about you?
open-mindedness - being a kid that grows up exposed to several different cultures and I just feel it in the ways I view things.

So that's it guys! Hope that wasn't such a boring read... and hope you guys enjoyed that little sneakpeek at my life outside the whole beauty makeup things... This took longer than I expected... now that it's almost 6AM in the morning!!

Ok! Goodnight!!!
