Quick Update

I'll find ways to always update my blog... and I can't wait to do my first video, which has been so far delayed due to technical problems and time restrictions. However, I must say, I am so excited that my blog will soon have 50 followers... It sure has been quite several months since this blog was born... October last year, 8th October to be exact. Around same age as my puppy! Hehehe... Well, as it reaches 50, guess what will happen? GIVEAWAY!! Yes, that's right! I'm still collecting or debating what to give as giveaway ... as my thanks for following my newbie blog. ^^

Also, I'm due to do a March Favourites & New Found Routine... So I will get to it as soon as I can.

Anyway, I must be off to uni... thank you so much for following my blog and all the support and comments (I like comments hehehe) ... Talk to you all soon!

Why I haven't posted much - update

1) My account in Windows has completely messed up itself (due to virus)
2) I still need to reformat my laptop =(
3) Lots of school works to catch up on
4) Laptop webcam quality suckssssss!!! =(
5) Scared to contaminate everything else, I haven't inserted SD card or my iphone with photos, to my laptop... afraid the virus would spread... get transmitted... =_=
6) If I'm not at uni/school, I'm working...
7) I'm still coughing, so am I going to make a video when I keep coughing every minute or two! (If anyone know how to get rid of this stupid itchy throat dry cough that lingers... )

Before I go... I'm just going to share some of my current favourite songs:

* Everything I Own - Bread
* Chances - Five for fighting
* She Is Love - Parachute
* Never Gonna Be Alone - Nickelback
* Wo Bu Pei - Jay Chou
* Before the Morning - Josh Wilson

etc... hehehe

OMG My guitar has just fallen apart... ='( nooooooohhhhh!!! I thought I only needed to replace the 5th string, but when I was removing the strings... the bridge... fell apart... and the wood is so fragile it needs replacing... omg... =( my classical guitar... I don't want it to die... =( I want to play now!!!! But can't... =(

PS: I think I should have started Project 10 Pan sooner... as I am now sort of counting on the items I have finished... lol... I think I shall take note of what I have used up starting from now.

Just the other day I finished my 2nd tube of Missha Eye Makeup Remover. Yay! I love this stuff, I think this actually conditions my lashes too, since I do believe that my lashes seems longer and darker and softer after using this.
Next to be used up is Cyber Colors Eye Makeup Remover... and... I'll get back to you hahaha...

What I Think of Relationships

Going to be another non-beauty related... just rambling... as I've mentioned, this blog shall be a place where my thoughts come to life (written and read)... I've just been thinking a lot lately... but then again, who doesn't... and I've always been a thinker ==

There are
all sorts of relationships you may encounter in your lifetime. You may experience it or see it happen to others, you may be the actor or the spectator. No matter where we are, there are different kinds of relationships that are commonly mistaken as just plain 'love', but they are not.

Passion love is one that the individuals get 'hot' and 'cold' throughout their times together. When they are feeling 'hot', which is most of the times, they are very much enveloped with a kind of obsession in ways such as kissing, touching, hugging, and just being restless with each other. They get possessive, they feel jealous if the other is walking with someone else or not with them. They get insecure and anxious to get into each other's arms. For what it seems to portray, it sounds very pleasant and satisfying. But for how long? Can this relationships last? Sure... but sadly, majority do not last. This relationships mainly based on lust. This type of relationship tend to be short lived, and normally resulting in one partner not happy with the other as the passion fades.

I am not stating that it is wrong to have such kind of love. It is different to everybody and it is perfectly fine. Everybody views things differently, this is simply to state the general idea of what's out there. I am here to just analyse the kinds of emotions and common situations and perhaps I shall find the kind of relationship I want to be in, along the way... and you might to.

So, there is also one called Companionship Love. This may be viewed as boring to some people, but believe it or not this is the longest lasting kind of relationship. In companionship love, the couples view each other as best friends, friends, companions, nothing over the top with too much sugar and sprinkles on top, and they find comfort in each other... just being with the other person gives them warm, fuzzy feeling in the inside. This is like a saying "home is where the heart is" and I agree. No matter where you are, as long as you are with that person you care about the most, time just slows down and you feel home. However, there might be a downside to this part if the relationship is entirely based on just companionship. It lacks romance and the fire might eventually dies...

Hence, to rekindle the emotions, tickle your fancy with each other again... you need a drizzle of romance every now and then. You see, everything is about balance, at least that's what I think nowadays.

Romance Love
is one that I think should be mixed in with Companionship Love, then you would get the perfect kind of love. That's why there are flowers, and sprinkles of petals, walking along the beach under the moonlight... or watching the ocean with his arms around you as your heart beats alongside his... the sweet messages he leaves for you... or the surprises he gives you... how he always manages to make your heart skips a beat... or your knees go weak. Or maybe, if he plays an acoustic piece he wrote just for you... aah, in this case, it's most likely going to be me instead who plays a song for him...

A drizzle of romance in a concrete comfort you find with each other is the kind of relationship I think I'm looking for. Maybe I shall change the 'drizzle' to 'shower' hahaha... I'm a romantic hahaha... A blend of spices such as comfort, security, closeness, partnership, understanding, thoughtfulness, chemistry, connection, interests, balance... caring without being possessive or clingey... affectionate without being creepy... a touch of shyness but still confident and to hold my hand and lead the way... and to say that I am his or he is mine... a definite... not a mere uncertainty. To hold me in times I feel down, and to cuddle to when watching movies... and to talk about all kinds of things and to share moments of life...

Ok, I can go on but oh gosh I really should not... leave it till another day.

Now, comment time... it's your turn to give your opinions... now, now, no hate comments, please... blogs aren't the place to hate.

SkinMD Shielding Lotion

Hi everyone,
I'm using uni's computer as we speak... hahaha, my laptop is still not fixed. Anyway, that doesn't stop me from blogging, especially when I am so long overdue to do this review.

I was sent this product sometime in January this year, 2010, and I shall talk more about how I used it and what I used it for and the pros and cons, etc, and such.

Click picture to go to the website
So there it is, in all its glory... The red cap bottle.

Specs on bottle:
- 120 ml
- Paraben Free
- Used & Prescribed by Dermatologists
- No animal products or testing
- Dermatologists tested
- Fragrance, Colorant free
- Hypoallergenic

Ingredients:
Purified Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Aloe Vera), Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Methyl Gluceth-20, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Extracts of Arnica Montana Flower (Arnica), Symphytum Officinale Leaf (Comfrey), Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria Chamomile), Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, 1,2 Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Aminomethyl Propanol, Phenoxyethanol (preservative).

I initially used it on my face, but found it wasn't quite suitable, my face is not of the dry kind, it's a combination of oily and normal to dry at some areas such as cheeks, but even these dry areas are not as dry as eczema-type of dryness. So, I started using it on my hands and feet. Now, my hands aren't of dry kind either, so I can't say much about how much moisture or how much softer that sort of thing, but I can say that it doesn't leave my hands sticky or greasy. My feet, on the other hand, due to my long hours of standing and walking, the soles tend to be on the dry side. And when I used SkinMD, they instantly didn't feel rough or scaly, they feel smooth and looks smooth, and not sticky or greasy at all! I could wear my sandals or shoes straight away without fearing that I would slip or grease my sandals haha...

So, what it claims:

"Shielding Lotions are a new type of skin care product based on years of research into how skin heals. They form a protective shield with the outer layer of skin and help keep out irritants. They allow the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better and they're light in texture so they go on without a greasy mess. Your skin needs help to keep out these moisture-robbing irritants.

A fundamental difference between Shielding Lotions and traditional skin care lotions is that Shielding Lotions enhance the skin's own natural protective abilities by turning the outer layer of skin into what could be described as a hydrating invisible shield making them many times more effective than mere protective lotions and moisturizing creams." Dr. Brian Zogg
board certified dermatologist - Albert Lea, Minnesota

And what do I think of it?

PROS:
* light texture
* not sticky or tacky or oily
* absorbs fast
* doesn't stink
* travel friendly, handbag friendly
* multi purpose (face, hands, feet, body, everywhere)
* refreshing feeling
* skin feels smooth, soft, supple

CONS:
Ok, the following aren't exactly 'cons', because this is based on my own review based on my skin type.
* isn't quite the right moisturiser for my face, after using it, my face feels soft, but slightly towards the dry side. I think it's just that the effect of it is quite short lived, but I'm guessing over time, if I continue using this, my face would become more of baby skin? I'm not sure, hence, as stated, this is not exactly a 'con', but something I experienced that was not quite exactly positive.
* I saw the price in Singapore, at a local Watsons or Guardians, and just for the bottle it costs almost SGD30, now that is quite on the pricey side. I'm not sure how people respond to this, because it is quite an unknown brand here in Australia or in Singapore, so it is still difficult to sell it, but I'm sure in the near future... with all of us bloggers to test it out, it'll be more known.

End of the road:
Recommendation would be for people with eczema, but needs to be used for a long period of time. Or, those in search of light lotion that feels refreshing and doesn't feel sticky or greasy. However, if you're like me and is not too allergic or too sensitive about body lotion then this product is not a must have. But really, this is good for the soles of my feet. Hehehe... my face on the other hand, being combination-oily-slightly sensitive, yes I can use this but I don't think it's the best for my face.

I hope that clears up any questions or if there's anything you want to ask, just fire away in either comment below or email me.

Till next time!!

Update

Hi everyone

Something horrible, unthinkable just happened. My laptop is infected with a very dangerous virus, so I think so.
I can't even open my itunes, nor windows explorer, nor mozilla firefox, not even the antivirus. Aaahhh!! I think it's some stupid Vista Antivirus Pro whatever I don't know...

So I'm sorry in the meantime, it might take awhile till I can do video or blog or post any photo... Need to probably reformat my laptop. Aaahhhh.... And my photos in there..... Noooooo....

Ok, anyway, thought I do a quick update, and especially why I appear to have disappeared for the past few days or a week. =( so sad that my laptop has come down with virus that bad.

Oh, and since my followers are now up to 45, I'm thinking whether to do a giveaway when it reaches 50... =) Hehehe...

Mwahhhhh!

Speedy Bag, How Do I Love Thee, Let Me Count the Ways...

Hahahaha, I'll tell you something first, this idea came up when I spotted a BVLGARI bag, with its monogram print, and top handles, leather, beautiful finish... and I wanted it but I thought, I might find one in Singapore and get it there, but I didn't find it and now it's not there anymore. But either way, that bag has made it to my wishlist hahaha... and now, I found this article on this girl's blog @ allwomenstalk and I'd like to share it with you all... since I agree to these reasons HHAHAAHA

Note: photos are taken from allwomenstalk , I neither wish nor attempt to plagiarize, I just wish to share this interesting article with all of you.

So why oh why would I want a Speedy Bag?

1) It's a Classic

Oh yes it is!! You can see people carrying this for decades ago and decades in the future. It's a timeless piece! And I, I do love timeless piece. Something you can carry now and does not go out of fashion. Aah, speedy bag... how I love thee... till death do us part.

2) You can choose its size

You can get this in 4 different sizes: 25, 30, 35, 40
I think I'd go for either 30 or 25... 30 is so multi functional, and those who know me know I love multi functionality and 25, well, I think it's cute. Hahaha... plus, for parties and such, a smaller bag would be perfect. Doesn't want to look like you're ready to elope with Speedy 40 during cocktail parties lol...
You can see more detailed about Speedy Bag 30 HERE

3) Goes with everything

Adriana Lima to French Vogue

Yeap, indeed. This bag is meant for travelling, shopping, everything, from jeans, to cocktail dresses, but I think, if cocktail dresses or gowns were to be the theme/scene, I'd go for a nice clutch or a small speedy 25, yeah? ;)

4) Its materials
It is made of the signature LV monogram canvas and calf skin. It is extremely durable. It is lightweight, supple, strong and sturdy (as LV said). It is also waterproof, and you can't scratch it. Oh and also, the fact that it looks even better as it ages, makes me want it even more! That rugged, darker handles... ahhh sexy! hehehe...
See why this is perfect for any occasion ;)

5) Perfect For Travelling

I know I've briefly mentioned this before, but it is indeed perfect for travelling. I mean, after all those long hours of flight, this bag would somehow make you look refreshed and still stylish hahaha...

6) Value for money

If you think about it straight up, you might be "OMG!! That's a price for 1 bag?!" But hey, if you think about how long this bag would last you... a lifetime, I would say. Then it's quite a worthwhile investment, no? Some bags costs a lot more while they are only fashion bags, not quite the classic all-time, all-rounder bag like this one.

Well, now, I know this bag isn't for everybody. But for me, I like the shape of it, that rounded top with top handle and it keeps its shape, and just an all rounder kind of bag for me. When I finally get one, I'm actually not even sure whether to get an LV or another brand, such as Bvlgari, 'cause I like Bvlgari too... or maybe a Ferragamo? We'll see... I'm not too concerned with it being LV. I probably prefer the Bvlgari design/print... Hahaha... but anyway,

Do let me know what is your favourite bag of all time? Or maybe if you're thinking of purchasing a bag? No need for hatred comments, now, everyone has their own opinions on things, and as I have mentioned, this bag isn't for everybody and even I'm not too crazed about having LV. I like the Speedy Bag because of its shape, its versatility, and its colour... but that's me, now what about you?

Mwaahhhh!!

I know......

It sure has been awhile since I last updated!! I am so so sorry, there are so many things overdue... but I thought I just pop in at this hour, it's almost 1 in the morning... and I thought I just update a little bit of what's been happening and what I plan on doing or what not or what yes.

Firstly,
I'm back in Brisbane from 2 weeks in Singapore. I must say it has been quite a 2 weeks I treasure. I got sick quite early in the week however, which really irritated me because it then turned to be a disasterous frog voice and coughing fit and itchy throat ... and I'm yet to recover from the itchy throat and dry chesty cough. Gah!

Secondly,
I'm in process of making my first ever video. Yes, (blushes) first ever video... It would most likely be on my recent massive hauls, which I shall split to a couple or different videos to allow me to talk about the products I purchased. It would be split to:
- Sephora Haul
- Shoes Haul
- Haul #2 (Sasa, Other random hauls)
- Haul #3 (The Face Shop, The Body Shop)
Unless I can squeeze #2 and #3 to 1 video .. ..
And uhm, I'm also thinking of maybe doing a Favourites Video? Or I might leave it till the end of this month and do a March Favourites.

Thirdly,
I'm quite overdue to review the SkinMD Shielding Lotion, that I was sent by the company sometime in January. Maybe I'll just write about it or maybe a video, I'll see which I have time for.

Yeah, another thing is that uni semester has started, and I'm yet to catch up some lectures I missed last week since I was still in Singapore. And also, I've just recently transferred to a different department store and instead of being a casual now I'm a part-timer, which means more set hours. This year will be so busy!! I'll make sure I can make it through to the end and let's do this, girl!! Hahaha...

Alright, so I should really go to sleep... Omg, it's almost 2.30AM... Yeap, *coughing fit starts*

Goodnight!! Talk to you all soon...

A Piece of Pieces of Me this Month of March 2010

Taken from Toothfairy's blog:
This game is to share a piece of you, every month. That way, you and your readers can see what's happening in your life, including the changes. I.E. one month, you might love chocolate, a few months later you've might come to hate it. It's also to remind ourselves of people you love and the plans you have.

So for this month... the first day back from my trip to Singapore

I like: shopping in Singapore... it has been an awesome one. Meeting up old friends =) oh and my new makeup collection... and the sound of the waves at the beach.. in the middle of the night

I don't like: ITCHY THROAT and Coughs you can't control and wakes you up everytime... ='(

I want you to know: that I'm back in Brisbane, Australia... and debating whether to start making videos...

I've planned: to have an even better year this year!! woohh yeah!

I want to say to someone special: that I'm missing you... over 6000kms across the sea
