Frustrated... by MAC

Ok, I think I'm surely going to pass MAC foundation for now. None of the MAC makeup artists seem to be able to match my skin to the correct shade and I'm now have to go back and return it because I'm scared to use it because I now realise I'm not even sure if it's the right shade anymore. This is an indication of my Love-Hate relationship with MAC. I love their paint pots (I really do!) and hating the foundations at the moment...

Last time, the girl said I'm a NW25 in Mineralized Satinfinish Liquid Foundation, then another said NC35 or C4 in the Studio Fix Compact, NC30 in Select, and today this girl said I'm a NC25 in MSF because she said this has light reflecting particles that will look darker on the skin when it has settled. Errrr... foundation that changes to a darker colour hours later after application? I don't need this complication! I want a foundation that stays the same colour and doesn't tan itself... =_=;;;
Why is it so hard... =(

Should I go for the Studio Fix Compact Powder? Should I not even bother... I'm even unsure about getting the concealer now... due to worrying that it would be the wrong shade... again.

Maybe I should just wait... and keep testing out which foundation shade matches me? What do you think? Let me know...

On a lighter note, I miss my favourite ice cream... ='(
Can you guess what that is already? Think chocolate, rich chocolate... and peanut butter... yuumm!! Yes... it's Peanut butter and Chocolate ice cream from Baskins Robbins... I've missed you!!

I hope you all have better experience with MAC foundations that I have...

Have a blushfull day~

Hi Dana! Thanks for your comment on my blog! That icecream is making me drool...yum yum! Ages ago I was paired with Studio Fix Powder Compact in NC40 and I have stuck to it so far (I don't always wear MAC though). What colour are you in the other foundation ranges? Not talking MAC here, but everything else! Don't give up, I'm sure you'll see the light soon, hehe| xx

Hmm, I'm roughly around Pupa Natural Silk in #01, Bourjois in #73 (10 Hour Sleep Effect Liquid Foundation) and 04 Beige Medium (Mineral Eclat Compact)... does it give you some idea? I'm probably around NC30-35 that's my guess judging from the shade in the website, but the MSF has different colours, so I got confused. I'm currently using a really good Australian brand called Gorgeous Cosmetics, and I'm 2B in it.
DOes it give you some ideas?

Thanks Anna!

Hey Dana, personally, Ive never used any mac foundation before, but Im thinking may be you can ask them for samples of possible shades and wear them for a while and see which one is better.

leave MAC if it's truly unsuitable for you. try chanel. they have really good foundations. they last absolutely well, and if topped off with a finish of dior's compact powder...it will be amazing! i'll give you the details when i see you online.

Angela: yeah, not all MAC give samples, and at the moment, i'm laying off their foundation. haha, so yeah, it's okay.

YiiZhu: hahaha, yeah i'm laying off mac foundation. i'm loving the paint pot though! haha... for the time being, i just use my gorgeous cosmetics.. lol

I'd try makeup forever. I've been through SO many concealers... I've even had someone try to mix my colour but my half asian skin is just too weird.

Then I found makeup forever-- and it was a PERFECT match. Totally worth the investment.

Unfortunately I haven't seen MUFE in Australia, so I can't do a colour match :( hopefully someday I'll be able to get it when I go to US or something. Thanks for the recommendation, though!! I'm trying Everyday Minerals right now and I think I might just found a good match!
